A French Bulldog for Every Season

French Bulldogs have been the inspiration for artists for hundreds of years and they have certainly inspirited ME! I was amazed by how few books were devoted to this wonderful breed when I started working on my first book in 2005. Therefore, I set out to capture the essence of the French Bulldog character in all its many moods: the Frenchie at play, the Frenchie having fun, the Frenchie at rest, and the Frenchie being a dog - all in a lifestyle atmosphere.

During the adventure and the creation of this first book of the series, I photographed more than 100 French Bulldogs in both the United States and Canada combined. If you are new to this breed, I hope my pictures will give you a good sense of the French Bulldog character. And if you are amongst the fortunate to be “owned by a Frenchie,” I hope my photos make you smile and nod in agreement.

The Heart Thieves: Enchanting French Bulldog Puppies

The sweetness of the little ones seemed to come up quite often in discussions or through email from the readers of my first book, A French Bulldog for Every Season. So, I decided it was time to create a new book. My goal with this book was to capture the character of these tiny French Bulldogs - their spunkiness and their wonderful sweetness - and to show how having on is in itself a reason for celebration. Because they are, forever, “thieves of your heart”. Enjoy!
